What are Look Up Tables (LUTS)?

For those that are newer to the photography game, check out this video. Harv helps to break it down in layman’s terms what LUTs are and whether you need them and how to use them.

If you’re already a pro, feel free to dive right in to the freebie LUTS samples below.

With only limited experience in LUTS, here are some tips I found very useful:
1. Before using LUTS, first learn to color grade so you understand what LUTS are doing
2. LUTS are a short cut to get your desired result. If you actually learn the craft, LUTS will allow you to create amazing images
3. LUTS purchased from a 3rd party are created specifically to elevate the 3rd party’s specific conditions
